Online Marketing for Fun & Profit
Marketing services online is a challange. Everyone agrees the future is online, but success can be elusive. There is an interesting book called Marketing Invisible Services which applies to lawyers, accountants and other service people. They all face the problem of selling services for which their customers are unable to see any difference between providers. How can you charge a premium for your work when it all looks the same to the customer.
In the offline world this is done with the aid or expensive clothing, premium office space and other signs and symbols of success. Online the methodology is not yet well worked out. Certainly a nice looking website is part of it, but there are lots of "Brochure-Ware" professional services websites which don't generate any business.
We have some ideas for how this can be done and think it starts with a good domain name. Listed below are services related domains whcih we plan to build out in ways that effectively attract online business. No doubt it will be educational.
